Shaping Our Destiny Through Thought

Our parents’ thoughts taking flesh-and-blood form in us.

This is a reflection on our parents and on the parents we are.

Our parents made us more than they were, because our parents are the roots of this tree that is us.

Know that every human emotion our parents ever had, every feeling of transcendence, of anxiety, of power and of weakness, was all imprinted in their genes as a genetic pattern, as a starting point for new life: their hereditary future.

And what is this hereditary future of our parents? It is us.

So the old saying that we inherit the sins of our fathers and mothers doesn't mean anything bad; it simply means that a limitation was placed on us, and there is a reason for it. We are that reason. Without us, this limitation has no way to evolve out of itself, to overcome its own boundaries, to grow beyond the plan set for it by the sins of the fathers.

This means we embody our mother's emotional fear and our father's inner strength. We embody our mother's compassion as well as our father's determination. If our back is straighter and stronger than our father's, it is only because his determination imprinted a mutation of himself into his genes. We are the descendants of that determination, now living with a strong back.

Our parents' thoughts take flesh-and-blood form in us. We tremble with their fears, delight in the fulfillment of their dreams and rise above their limitations, because we are their evolution.

Think about it: every time we feel afraid and anxious, every time we sink into basic survival consciousness, that fear affects our emotional body, the body of light. It leaves an electrical imprint in our DNA, in the genetic blueprint we will pass on to the next branches of our family tree. Our children's future.

Every time we feel joy, every time we hold a strong desire, every time we long for a stronger body, for clearer thinking, for better hearing and sight, every time we grow beyond our limitations, every time we truly feel these things, we embed the potential of the generations to come into our tree.

So our DNA is the essence of our consciousness, and what is this consciousness? Our thought. Everyone in our life reflects an aspect of who we are, and that aspect is meant for emotional redemption.

Emotional redemption is just what its name says: it sets us free.

From what?

From the past, from this limitation that was placed on us.

This is also called growing up. Growing stronger and expanding beyond the pattern imprinted in us, our destiny, to embrace more possibilities.

And if our parents are an aspect of us, then what do we choose to reflect to our children? What common ground do we want to create today for the reflection we will see tomorrow? A reflection of our history or of their future?

And now think about this: we are consciously shaping our children's bodies and destinies through our thoughts, right here and now. See how much power we have, how much strength and responsibility. Understand how far our consciousness reaches into the future, well beyond our lifetime.

So what will we think about today, and how will we shape the future of this tree, our tree?

What will we imprint into the future of our loved ones who are not yet born, but whose pattern we have already prepared…
