Returning to Childhood, Innocence and the Mulberry Tree
January 2026

What if joy is not something we find out there, but something we create from within?
My dear ones,
Let's look around us for a moment, at our tribe, at the society we were born into. There is a quiet yet thunderous agreement here that it's normal for our joy to keep shrinking as we grow older.
As children, our pleasures were simple and abundant. We could lose ourselves in them even as Mom shouted, “Come on, bedtime!” A sunny day or a rainy one, a tiny new toy, a hug from Grandpa, a kitten: these simple pleasures meant the world to us. Our bodies radiated endless optimism, our smiles were huge, our laughter was contagious, and our clothes were covered in chocolate and berries.
But then something happens.
As we grow up, we are programmed to accept that our happiness is elusive. We chase big dreams only to discover that they don't fulfill us the way we thought they would. We accumulate more possessions, degrees and status, but none of these bring us the joy we once found in simple pleasures.
Over the years, without noticing, we copied those who came before us and became more fearful and cautious, paler, tired and critical. Our smiles faded, and our laughter became less frequent. We began to believe that happiness is a luxury, even an arrogant fantasy we can no longer afford.
But what if we are looking at joy through the wrong filter?
What if we are striving to achieve what we never really wanted, and playing our parents' tapes from childhood to old age?
What if joy is not something we find out there, but something we create from within?
Where is this great joy, tucked away in the divinity of little things? And what is joy, really?
Joy is an attitude, a thought, a state of mind.
Our mood is a state of spirit. Do we understand that being spiritual simply means recognizing our state of mind as an inner creative power? This power lives within us and comes from us, not from other people, objects, or outside events. Do we understand that everything we create within costs us nothing? A thought is entirely free, yet it is our most precious asset. This spiritual ability to experience our thoughts is also what we call our life.
Children are entirely spiritual, because they create nonstop and experience at the same pace. This is the vibration of the joy of creation; this is the frequency of happiness. So we understand that our joy flows entirely from our inner freedom to imagine, to feel and to experience.
What if we grew stronger in consciousness and taught our children to hold inner happiness sacred and to embrace the beauty of simplicity, so they find the vibration of joy in this moment, not in some distant future?
What if we made more room for joy in our hearts and returned to the days of childhood, innocence, and the mulberry tree?
Joy is not a destination but a hike, a trek of consciousness, an experience of thought and a journey of realizing a divine potential that is always waiting for us, waiting for us to experience it.
My dear ones, remember that it's never too late to be joyful.
To experiences of joy and an open heart,
With love,
❤️
