The Best Bath You Could Ask For

My dear ones,
Did you know that for many years, sanatoriums treating mental illness placed their most severely ill patients in the wings that received the strongest sunlight?
There is a proven reason for this: greater sun exposure brings greater improvement in mental health.
In the past, many hospitals used a solarium as part of their range of treatments, harnessing the broad spectrum of visible and invisible sunlight to aid healing.
Patients who spent time in the solarium recovered much faster and needed fewer medications and fewer days in the hospital.
Sunlight is considered the most vital component of our health, since it provides about 66 percent of the total nourishment the body needs. It saturates a key component in the production of vitamin D, improves mood by activating the pineal gland to produce serotonin, and strengthens the immune system by activating the millions of receptors on our skin, which set off many wondrous chains of biochemical reactions within us.
Sadly, over time, this healing method fell out of favor, and many people avoid the sun completely for fear of its harmful effects, because of a baseless modern trend that has no grounding in history. Just as an example, in Africa, where masses of people are exposed to strong sun with no shirts or hats at all, cancer rates are far lower than among their dark-skinned brothers and sisters living in the US who avoid sun exposure.
The truth is that moderate exposure to sunlight holds enormous benefits. It is a key component in activating the biological clock, greatly improves sleep quality, and even mental clarity, lifts mood and prevents depression. Sunlight is essential for producing serotonin, which leads to the production of melatonin, the night hormone thanks to which our bodies replace at least half a billion cells during the restorative (delta) stage of sleep.
Giving up sunglasses and polarized glasses brings many benefits, such as high secretion of calcitonin during daylight hours, which is critical to bone calcium balance, as opposed to excess secretion of parathyroid hormone while wearing sunglasses, and the resulting damage to calcium balance.
The best bath you could give your body is a sunbath in the morning and afternoon, or throughout the daylight hours on cold winter days. Our bodies are bio-solar machines that need the sun’s rays to drive millions of processes science does not yet understand. The human body is an integral part of nature, where the sun is a powerful engine for almost every life process.
Bringing sunlight into your routine is simple: go for a walk outside, sit by a sunny window or enjoy some time in your garden. Remember, balance is the key. Embrace the sunlight nature provides to help nourish your body and your mood.
Wishing you all light,
Ran❤️
