What is self-love?

Self-love is a multifaceted kind of knowing. At its core is willpower, which allows every thought that arises within us to become our reality, without judgment, criticism or guilt.

When we love all our thoughts as we love our young children, we become at peace with everything we truly are.

Such a person does not look back and is not afraid of their own power.

It is a knowing that is also a choice: to love, at every given moment, all that we have become, all that we are.

It is also the ability to give ourselves the chance to know where we came from, what we are even doing here, and where we are headed.

And why is it so important to love all that we are?

Because when we do, we immediately rise above the social consciousness, above its opinions and its endless, never-ending criticism. We are now above any need for approval; we rise above all judgment and above all criticism and doubt about our ability and our right to think independently. We rise above the illusion of time that is sold to us through clocks, calendars, days off, days of mourning like Tisha B’Av and national days that we did not set, but that were engineered into our consciousness, and all of them belong only to the past, and none of them builds us a future.

This is the willpower to weave a life of self-fulfillment: to listen only to the voice within and follow only the path of joy, where knowledge of all that exists resides.

When we spend all day reacting to our environment instead of creating our own, our minds are not sovereign and we are not mentally resilient. We get dragged along by vague agendas and by whatever gives us a sense of security and approval from those around us; we are emotionally addicted to collective approval.

Self-love is the recognition of our ability to create the experiences we choose to have in our lives, no matter what the surrounding conditions are and what everyone says. It means knowing that only our own doubts set the limits of what is possible. When we remove the fences of judgment, of what we are and aren't allowed, what is logical and what isn't, then we have removed limitations and rules that are not ours at all and that always undermine our resilience.

Looking at what exists in our lives without judgment, and with a lot of love, leads to a fresh perspective and to feelings different from those we felt before. Our choice to feel uplifted and loving, even in the face of the reality currently reflected before our eyes, allows us to convert existing energy into a desired, beneficial reality.

As unfashionable as it may sound in an era of national suffocation, global consensus and yet another old war dressed up as something new, the self is still divine.

Every moment we live for the love of this God within us, everything we do to find our joy and our light, springs from our being, enriches the divine mind, and so nourishes the consciousness of all humanity.

This love enriches our friends and loved ones with tenderness and purity, and in fact gives all that exists a chance to rise in vibration and draw closer to the Creator, to our essence. When we are like this, we are not separate from one another; we recognize a harmonious oneness of eternal fellowship.

To days of self-love

unconditionally,

❤️
