The Power of Prayer

About the evening

You're welcome to watch the open evening

Prayer is truly the master key. A key may fit one door of the house, but when it fits every door, it can rightly claim the title of master key. A key like that, and nothing less, is the remedy for all the problems on earth.

We'll turn inward several times tonight, and we're going to stop time for a moment to think about what we're really saying. And I want you to allow the feeling of what you are commanding to rise up in you.

Here I hope you'll be able to recognize the difference between what we're going to do tonight and your usual, everyday consciousness.

Close your eyes and breathe three times.

Take a normal breath in and let out a long, slow breath through your mouth.

And see all your problems, worries and inner conflicts leaving you and moving away;

Imagine a spiral staircase going down from the middle of your brain to the middle of your chest. Walk down the winding stairs and slowly turn left. You see a door in front of you. This is a door that leads into your heart. Look at this door, at its shape, at its color, look at the handle.

Now take hold of the handle, open the door and step right into your heart. Close the door behind you. Stand there for a moment and look at the space of your heart. See, sense and feel the power and love pouring out of your heart. Now sit in the center of your heart and sense and feel the pleasant, enveloping sweetness of your heartbeat.

And inside yourself, repeat after me with intention and devotion:

“O my beloved spirit, my mighty spirit, all-powerful. You who are full of the power of heaven and earth. Fill me with your power, my beloved spirit, fill all of me with your kingdom. May I be your vessel to bring into my life what is not yet seen in heaven, and to overcome all my suffering on earth. Give me my food each day, so I can live and know my guilt, know my doubts and end my sorrow, so I can grow and understand what the important truth in my life is. O my mighty spirit, do not let me be tempted, and protect me from everything that would persuade me to turn back. And on every day of my life, reveal through me the divine within me. And so it is.”

Take a breath, let it out slowly through your mouth, and open your eyes.

This prayer is tens of thousands of years old. When it's said with true reverence, with real meaning, if you are sincere, you acknowledge your spirit as eternal, all-powerful, and more than that, all-powerful within you. And when you are like that, reverently inviting your spirit to move in your life, then it will move.

And if from now on you say it every morning, right before you get out of bed, with your eyes closed, slowly and with real meaning and intention, you would rise from your bed a new person.

And as new people, you would find in it an excitement that brings you a day unlike anything you've ever experienced.

Before you go to sleep, thoughtful and still in the night, with your eyes closed, you go into your heart and say to your spirit, slowly and with true intention:

“My mighty spirit, I give you my body and my soul, heal me, work your wonder in me. Here I rise anew, and so it is”

And in the morning, as you stand in your bathroom still groggy with sleep, look into your eyes in the mirror and say with certainty:

“There truly is a divine alchemist within me.”

These aren't ordinary prayers or declarations. This is as powerful as inviting your spirit to appear before you, because that's really what you're doing. You're declaring that you are not alone in your world, that you have an eternal partner on the journey, and that it's closer to you than the air in your lungs and the blood in your veins.

When we call on our spirit, we call on the immense power within us that is entirely divine. In this prayer we ask the spirit:

“This I cannot do, but I tell you, do it through me, by means of me and for me, show me the way.”

And then the spirit, which is the fundamental cosmic resource of all life, turns this knowing into an unshakable force. And then we have a supernatural occurrence that anyone who doesn't understand their own power will call a miracle, but miracles and wonders are simply the natural home of our spirit.

It's really about turning inward and saying:

“My spirit, you who breathe life into me, help me. Bring my dream to life, use me to show your power, guide me.”

And our spirit will do it, because it is here only for you and works only through you. This doesn't bypass or undermine the meaning of creating thought for the sake of creation, because creative thoughts require a state of mind in order to be experienced as reality.

And when you're consumed by doubt and don't know what to do, when you need to know about something that weighs on you, turn to yourself and say decisively:

“From the spirit of the divine in my being, I now know the answer to this, and I am in a state of receiving and listening to it.”

This is the language of the subconscious, and this is how you speak to it. Expressing yourself this way turns knowing into resolve. Even if you are not yet consciously aware of it, the door is wide open for that knowing to become an experience that brings wisdom. Your being will quickly adjust to embody what is now known. You don't need to work toward this achievement. You don't need to strive, search or struggle for it. You don't need chants in houses of prayer or mushroom ceremonies to attain it. You simply need to choose to know. Through knowing, you become receptive and ready to listen as that awareness emerges.

If you are ill and bowed under your illness, and all your logic and your doctor's intellect have both run dry, then hand all of it over to your spirit.

Before bedtime, turn inward and create intimacy with your spirit. Close your eyes and say sincerely, with sweet surrender:

“O my holy spirit, strong and all-powerful, I give you my body. Make it perfect; I entrust it to you for healing. O my holy spirit, the divine alchemist within my temple, continually imprint beautiful new infant cells within me. Breathe the spirit of my youth into me again and find it a sacred place to dwell within me. Move within me and bring divine movement to this human form, making it divine. And so it is.”

And this is simply a wonderful thing to do before sleep, because then the spirit takes over the body and heals you, and does it through dreams that change your cellular activity.

And when morning comes, remember your night prayer and say:

“O beloved spirit, all-powerful, fill me with your power and your wholeness. Lift my body to radiant health.”

Do this every day when you wake up, with intention and sincerity, and you will be answered.

And if you're troubled by your past, by decisions badly made, and you can't get past the abyss of regret even with all your will, then close your eyes and surrender by handing your destiny over to your spirit. And with utterly unguarded honesty say inside yourself: “O my beloved spirit, all-powerful, the holiness of my being, my soul is burdened, I know no rest and I am sick of my life. I don't know what to do, I give you this burden and place it in your all-knowing hands.”

Go to sleep and start your day with it. And if you are sincere and devoted in your request, you will feel the difference.

When someone wrongs you and you feel hurt by it, please understand that forgiveness comes from the deepest and most sacred part of your being. Ask to experience forgiveness through your holy spirit. Go within and say:

“My holy spirit, immortal and all-powerful. Guide me to forgiveness, teach me the way of unconditional love, and let me experience my divine nature in my life.”

When someone sincerely says, “This is beyond my ability to solve,” and awakens their spirit, they invite the divine into their life. The spirit of heaven heals the spirit of the earth. What is impossible for the divine? I say nothing is. Whether it is your slightest pain, your smallest sorrow, your deepest guilt or your most intense anguish, all of these can be made perfect, beautiful and harmonious.

And when you seek this harmonious wholeness in your life, go within and say:

“Within me is a perfect form, the divine form. Now I am everything I want to be. Every day I envision my beautiful being until I breathe it into expression. I am a divine child; all my needs are met, now and forever.”

Man and woman were created to show the divine on the face of the earth, in the heavens and in the cosmos. They were made to be the walking temples of possibility.

I'll close this sacred evening with this gift to you, an ancient prayer from the time of the fifth world on Terra Firma, the older name of this Earth, when we had no moon and the sky was made entirely of water. Those were the times of Lemuria, Mu - The motherland

Close your eyes and repeat after me, in deep inner silence:

“O my beloved God, bless my life, fill it with your movement and bring my life into harmony. May my destiny be in the hands of my holy spirit, not my body. O my beloved God, you who created me and gave me life, awaken my desire to know. Restore my power so that I can manifest a journey, a path to enlightenment. So be it.”

Never doubt the power of your holy spirit, never doubt how far it can reach, because tonight's message has already traveled a long way and has also reached very far into the future.

A while ago I thought about holding this evening after a morning prayer in which I asked my own spirit to make me a giver and to let everything that passes through me flow to you without limit. By coming here, you have fulfilled that prayer for me.

Bless you for coming and for your wish to know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this sacred evening and for the opportunity.
